Senior Manager - Social Media Home Appliance/Consumer Electronic
**General Description**
Location: 837 Washington Street, NYC Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Senior Manager to lead social media for the Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances portfolio. This includes--but is not limited to--the creation, management and execution of content plans and social programs. Fundamentally, this position will be responsible for leading the CE/HA-specific social strategy while also managing the social executions actively contributing to all programs. The ideal candidate is creative, forward-thinking, and data driven (qualitative and quantitative). Responsibilities:
* Drive short and long-term social media strategy--leading content development, publishing, and social experiences both on and off-line.
* Inform business decisions by translating social trends, technologies and consumer social behaviors into comprehensible strategic insights.
* Deliver comprehensive reporting and measurement on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Identify and develop relationships with key digital influencers, potential brand ambassadors, and platform partners.
* Interface with senior executives and drive program implementation.
* Manage, mobilize and motivate the social team.
* Identify flags and opportunities within the user generated content space and make quick decisions or recommendations to management.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all brand initiatives, product launches, key moments, financial and sales needs, and marketing & PR objectives.
* Evaluate consumer insight information, specific category trends, and relevant data in order to recommend social media and creative communication solutions.
* Oversee social insights, trend spotting, and activation reporting
* Develop and maintain key industry and partner relationships with influencers, production companies, and digital creators.
**Necessary Skills / Attributes**
Qualifications: Accomplished social strategist with proven track record of developing and executing successful online marketing and social media programs for a top brand at scale.
* Must have a positive attitude and strong leadership qualities to effectively manage a team and build consensus.
* A thought-leader in digital strategies with a passion and intellectual curiosity for all things social, mobile culture, and emerging tech.
* Well-versed in people management and executing digital projects and builds.
* Must believe in their convictions and be able to support opinions and recommendations with substantive arguments.
* Deep and thorough knowledge of social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, etc).
* Excellent written, presentation, and diplomacy skills.
* Strong sense of professionalism and judgment in response to issues in the public social media sphere.
* A problem-solver, self-starter and forward-thinker.
* Experience working with multiple agencies simultaneously and managing top brand budgets.
* Ideal candidate will have experience working on behalf of an OEM, carrier, media/entertainment company or a global consumer brand.
* Ability to thrive in fast past, dynamic environment.
* Extended experience in digital marketing, and/or related fields including research, PR, advertising, media and publishing.
